A hybrid with purple flowers and small white splashes on the edges to add a bit of interest. Flower size is an impressive 12cm.
Phalaenopsis are possibly the most popular orchid available for inside growing, with their spectacular spike of large, showy blooms. Originating from India, through southeast Asia, north to the Philippines and south to northern Australia; they therefore like a well-lit, warm position. Keep them indoors all year round, but away from direct sunlight, drafts and windows - where temperature changes are extreme.
