This is a violacea coerulea 'Blue Indigo #319' x tetraspis 'Red Panda' hybrid. We have yet to see the final bloom but expect something very special with a delicate small flower that is likely to be scented.
Phalaenopsis are possibly the most popular orchid available for inside growing, with their spectacular spike of long-lasting, showy blooms. Originating from India, through southeast Asia, north to the Philippines and south to northern Australia; they therefore like a well-lit, warm position. Keep them indoors all year round in a well ventilated area, but away from direct sunlight, cold drafts and windows - where temperature changes are extreme.
What you will eventually see flowering will be a blending of the two parents. In some cases we are able to provide you with a photo of the progeny, however please bear in mind that variations in colour, etc are expected with seedling crosses.
