We strongly recommend to newer growers that they start off with more mature plants as they are more forgiving of the small mistakes than the younger plants. As the expertise levels raise younger plants can then become an option.

Cymbidiums - outdoors until temperatures drop below 5 degrees Celsius overnight, Suitable for newer growers through to the more experienced
Oncidiums - outdoors until temperatures drop below 5 degrees Celsius overnight, can also be grown indoors in a cool room. Suitable for intermediate growers through to the more experienced
Cattleyas - indoors although can be grown outdoors when temperatures are higher than 10 degrees Celsius overnight, Suitable for intermediate growers through to the more experienced
Phalaenopsis (Moth Orchids) - indoors only. Suitable for newer growers through to the more experienced
Dendrobiums - outdoors until temperatures drop below 5 degrees Celsius overnight, Suitable for newer growers through to the more experienced
Sarcochilus - outdoors until temperatures drop below 5 degrees Celsius overnight, Suitable for newer growers through to the more experienced
