Z. Kiwi Susan x (mackayi x Alan Greatwood)
Expect olive green, purples, chocolate brown, reds and anything in between. We are looking for a nice filled in flower with the typical Zygopetalum perfume. Our expectations are 4-6 blooms per stem and 2 or 3 stems per growth. Flowers are approximately 6-8cm across. Photos are of the parents: Z. Kiwi Susan, Z. Alan Greatwood & Z. mackayi
Grown much like Cymbidiums, they prefer cool to intermediate conditions and and dappled sunlight. They are frost sensitive, so will require protection in colder climes.
The photo that shows on each available variant is indicative of the size plant that you will receive. Size B plants can be expected to reach flowering size in 3-4 years; Size B+ plants in 2-3 years; Size C plants in 6-18 months (depending on the flowering season and time of purchase). Please check carefully when selecting options to avoid “size surprise”.
