Vanilla bean pods, vanilla essence, vanilla ice cream - this plant is where you get these wonderful products from. Grown commercially in tropical climates, these plants require temperatures of at least 15°C overnight for optimal growth, and that means in the middle of winter too! Vanilla is an evergreen vine that can reach up to 15m in length. It has thick stems and greenish to yellow flowers.
These are available in very limited numbers! The plants in the photo has a 45cm tall plant stake. The other available plant(s) are of a similar size.
